Now I want to set up a Discourse forum for production use. what should I do? :grinning: (like: https://discourse.example.com )

Follow the instructions here: discourse/docs/INSTALL-cloud.md at main · discourse/discourse · GitHub

oh no,I can’t visit digitalocean. [image]

Are you behind the ‘great’ firewall? It can be installed on most VPS’s with Ubuntu 18.04 offerings. Try a more local provider.

any more VPS server is recommended?(except digitalocean)

Plenty, but maybe the local regime doesn’t regard them like we do in the West, so even if they are not blacklisted now, they soon might be. I would recommend you use something within the walls. Perhaps a local Discourse admin can chime in.

Thanks for your answer.I’ll try another server soon.

I can try it on Yunohost! GitHub - YunoHost-Apps/discourse_ynh: Discourse package for YunoHost · GitHub

We can’t support third party installation packages here. That installation doesn’t use docker which is also unsupported. It appears to be for ARM processors. You need to find a host where you can use the standard installation method.
