Improving pinned topic excerpts

Is there a workaround for this besides rebake?

It’s 1 topic that I need a shorter excerpt. I’m guessing deleting and reposting after the setting is lowered is the only other option? Or that won’t fix either?

Which of these two settings?

The image displays input fields for setting the maximum lengths of a post excerpt and a topic excerpt, with "300" indicated for the post excerpt and "220" designated for the topic excerpt. (Captioned by AI)

EDIT:

This worked for me! Used if for the first sentence of the post and it had the intended effect. (and of course didn’t have to change the above settings) Thanks!
