Hi we decided to close the site only for signed in user in order to get more signups…
So we need to add more information in the login page (the first page the user will get redirected to) to add some images/ other text that might be interesting for them to see the value of the contents inside the forum… not just a welcome message and login and register button.

One approach is using Page Publishing to publish what you want to show visitors.
Then you include a link to that page when editing login_required.welcome_message. 
Additionally this Customization > Theme component might help as well.
