Need help on hosting a background image in our on premise instance

AI-generated summary

The discussion revolves around hosting a background image in an on-premise Discourse instance. Srujan_Madderla is seeking guidance on where to host the image and the procedure for doing so. itsbhanusharma suggests uploading the image to a private topic and copying the link. However, Srujan_Madderla requests more detailed steps and commands. pfaffman provides a more comprehensive solution, recommending either uploading the image to a post in a private category or creating a theme component with the image as an asset, citing a relevant guide at https://meta.discourse.org/t/include-assets-e-g-images-fonts-in-themes-and-components/62459.

Create a post in a PM or in a category like #staff, and include the desired image in the post. This will lupload the image to Discourse and make it available. In the resulting post, you can right-click the image to get the URL where it has been uploaded.

You could also create a theme component that includes the image as an asset. For that you’ll need to follow something like Include assets (e.g. images, fonts) in themes and components.

Got it.
Thank you Jay and team
