How to add title and buttons naturally above forum topics?

AI-generated summary

Olle11 is seeking to add a title and buttons above the forum topics on their home page, similar to the Discourse Meta layout. They inquired about using CSS, HTML, or theme components to achieve this. ondrej and pfaffman provided helpful links to relevant topics, including the Versatile Banner theme component. Olle11 found these links useful for adding links, but is still looking for a way to add a title like “Welcome to the Discourse community” and have the topics display in a box beneath it, blending in with the background image, as seen on Meta Discourse.

Hi,

I have spent all day trying to figure out how to add buttons and a title for my home page above the forum topics like it is here on Discourse Meta.

Regarding the buttons, is there css or html to add these above the forum topics/container or is there a theme component for this?

Regarding the title, can this be done with a theme component or manually need to add the title (as Discourse Meta has “Welcome to the Discourse community” to the background image?

I think it looks very smooth as here on Discourse Meta:

Best regards
Olle

Does this help?

See Welcome Link Banner and Versatile Banner

Thank you that is what I am looking for regarding the links

Thank you this is looking like something that can be useful.

Is it possible to have the text like “Welcome to the Discourse Community” on Meta Discourse and to put the topics in a box beneath it in a natural way so it fits in with the background image like here on Meta Discourse?
