How to add title and buttons naturally above forum topics?

Hi,

I have spent all day trying to figure out how to add buttons and a title for my home page above the forum topics like it is here on Discourse Meta.

Regarding the buttons, is there css or html to add these above the forum topics/container or is there a theme component for this?

Regarding the title, can this be done with a theme component or manually need to add the title (as Discourse Meta has “Welcome to the Discourse community” to the background image?

How do I replicate the meta banner links?

@Helga_Razinkova Can you give it a try? Credit to @Don and @nolo – I took some of their ideas. It requires a recent Discourse version (3.3) since it relies on the new Objects type for theme setting. Some images Let me know if you need specific settings. It might need some adjustments for mobile. By default, the buttons wrap and are displayed in one column on mobile. Looking forward to any feedback. If all is good, I will release it later.

Thank you this is looking like something that can be useful.

Is it possible to have the text like “Welcome to the Discourse Community” on Meta Discourse and to put the topics in a box beneath it in a natural way so it fits in with the background image like here on Meta Discourse?
