RSS Polling posts are always appearing as unlisted

I’m using the RSS Polling plugin which is connected to our changelog, and a new topic is created as expected when a new changelog post is published. However all the topics are appearing as whispers/ unlisted:

I can’t see any settings in the RSS Polling plugin, the category or the connected user that would cause this - the connected user has mod and admin rights. Has anyone seen this before or any advice on what to check?
