Add a Zendesk Chat widget to Discourse

  1. Create an account to and complete all the required fields

  2. Choose the team name which will automatically become the URL for accessing the Zendesk chat interface

  3. Visit your email provider to verify your email address and sign in to Zendesk

  4. Complete the steps and finally you will be given the script to copy pasting on your Discourse site

  5. Visit your site at admin > customize > themes > component and click on Install

  6. Select +Create new
    then enter a name, check that theType selected is Component and click on Create

  7. Select the theme(s) to which you want to add the new component to activate it and click on Edit CSS/HTML

  8. Go to the common > /head tab, paste your script and Save

  9. Go to the site settings of the site and search for content security policy script src. Add this URL in whitelist

  10. Reload your site and you will find the chat icon on the bottom right of your site, visible to visitors and registered users

  11. Go back to Zendesk at (see step 2) to configure your chat
