In the prefs, js.user.email_direct is currently described as:
Send me an email when someone quotes me, replies to my post, mentions my @username, or invites me to a topic
While it would be nice to simplify to just, “send me notification emails”, this setting doesn’t cover all emails (there’s a separate setting for emails about private messages), and not all notifications are emailed (notifications of likes never go out by email).
As long as it’s a list of cases, it should be thorough. The description above implies that js.user.email_direct only affects the listed items, but it also affects emails for watched items.
So, I propose the description be changed to something like:
Send me an email when someone quotes me, replies to my post, mentions my @username, invites me to a topic, or posts somewhere I’m watching (including watched categories, tags, or topics).
