Allow someone moderator rights in one category only

I would like to give someone moderator rights in one specific category only - how can this be achieved? Thank you.

Hello!

Many improvements have been made, so category mods can have more privileges. Check the following announcement:

We recently added lots of long awaited improvements to our Category specific Moderators feature. As of today, they are now able to: Mark topics as solved Edit posts Close topics Archive topics Move posts from a topic Pin/unpin topics Edit category descriptions Add staff notices for any topics under the categories they have moderator status. Note that category moderators do not have all the privileges a mod might have. They are more than enough though for the purpose of moderating one category.

Thanks for this - that’s great and certainly helps but is there a way I can also authorise moderation of the sub-categories that sit within that category?

You mean setting sub-category moderators?

You will just have to go into each subcategory and add the same moderator group over and over.
