Admins and customers are experiencing this same issue of being unable to upload a photo to a post.
We cleared cache and browsing data, tried an incognito window, logged out and logged back in, tried making the file smaller, renamed the file. Nothing.
Please help as adding screenshots and photos is crucial to our community.

Can you post a ss of when you try to upload a SS?
Can you post your Discourse version? Are you running Tests-passed or Stable? Team recommends Tests-Passed.
Are you self hosted or on a hosted plan? Is the site using defaults(more or less) or using S3 for uploads?
The error is vague.
Is your disk full?
Did something happen to the permissions if the uploads directory?
Nothing has worked except putting the image into a Google doc and copying and pasting which instead pastes a preview of the url. Works good enough for me, but wish there was a better way since our customers and other community members don’t all know that hack.
You can have a look at the logs. It’s likely something simple.
Should I look in the error logs? Is there an error name that would indicate what happened?
Is it a standard install?
You can look at /admin/logs or /var/discourse/shared/standalone/logs/rails/production.log
