There’s at least a couple of situations where messages about “Extreme load” popup: one during a search, and another where the website shows as logged out.
Should at least the later one be logged somewhere to raise admins awareness of it? Or could that by itself further increase load?
While some users do report it, our experience is that it’s a bit hard to understand how serious the problem is, or if it’s very ocasional, only from user reports. While in most cases retrying immediately works, the seriousness of the “under extreme load” message may cause this to be over reported. Or, not reported at all, if one is logged out and goes do something else.
Point being, it would be helpful to understand how much it occurs by it being logged somewhere. Any thoughts?
