What would you like done?

The online platform is a space for the people involved in the Global Disinfo Co-Lab to get to know each other and their work in addressing disinformation in their specific and varying contexts. The main aim here is for them to build enough trust and a sense of community to lead them towards collaboration, convenings and ideas that Numun can then seed.

The online platform is envisioned to be a space where the Global Co-Lab participants can showcase their work, share analysis and ideas, and collectively think of ideas to address disinformation and its impact on their communities and movements. This is also envisioned as a space where participants are able to propose ideas as well as collectively decide on which ideas Numun can seed.

The online platform will be the Global Disinfo Co-Lab space.
In brief, goals:

  • Community space for people to get know each other and their work
  • Build trust towards sharing knowledge, analysis, strategy and collaboration
  • Come up with ideas they may want to explore together

Functionalities / spaces / sections

  1. A section where users can find resources on disinformation
  2. An “event” space where 4 “encounters” will be held (asynchronous as well as real- time)
  3. Participants’ profile space
  4. Space for discussions (as seen in terms of needs in the above sections)
  5. Space for sharing ideas
  6. Good to have: Each account with a dashboard that they land into when they sign- in that shows updates from discussions they’ve signed up for, messages, up- coming real-time calls as well manage their settings.
  7. Multilingual: English, Arabic, Spanish, Portuguese, French, Mandarin (maybe), Burmese (maybe) - script ability (text)
  8. Site is password protection, invite only access
