Editing post moves it to newest on homepage

Whenever we make an edit to a topic (event to just add another tag) it moves it up to top of the latest list of topics on the homepage.

I have been through the admin settings and tried to search on here but cannot work out how to stop this from happening.

What we want is for a topic to appear as the latest post if there is a new reply or it is a new post and not if it has been edited.

Can anyone help advise if this is possible and how to set this?

You can use Reset Bump Date right after editing the topic. This should remove it from the top.
