Email stripping removing everything

I’ve found lots of topics on email stripping, but not got one for this problem.

So in the last few months I’ve noticed various incoming emails being striped to nothing. This seems like a new problem, though it could be that the emails getting sent have changed.

These emails are usually from mailing lists and such that we have feed into some categories. Here’s an example that ends up being reduced to just a bit of indentation and white space:

Our volunteers
As 2020 comes to an end, we=E2=80=99d like to celebrate the achievemen=
ts of our volunteers. We are pleased that volunteering has continued, =
albeit in a limited way, throughout the second lockdown. Owing to stri=
ct restrictions on the numbers of volunteers that can attend sessions =
currently, there is a substantial waiting list for new volunteers to g=
et involved in weekly volunteering sessions. We hope that come early s=
pring, restrictions might be eased so that=C2=A0more of you who wish t=
o be involved in volunteering at the park will be able to do so on a r=
egular basis.

We are enormously thankful to the support of all of our volunteers. Si=
nce September 2017, volunteers have collectively clocked up nearly 120=
00 hours of volunteering in the park. Incredible!!
