It seems the Category Groups theme component cause this. If you use this component you have to 
However if you use other category page style I am not sure this component do something?
Change desktop category page style setting to boxes with subcategories
or
Disable/remove the theme component the
or
Disable the show on mobile setting
should fix the problem.
