The fact is, what I’m trying to balance is the value of finding a safe place, against the value of sticking to our original place and staring down, freezing out, the ill-speakers.
Thus the – well, it’s not indecision, it’s deliberate, gradual consideration of options (even when I’m flying off the handle in the moment of stress) and waiting to take the sense of the group, as it develops.
But I really do so appreciate all you folks with offerings of a place to go, if that’s the direction that seems best to us. I’m learning so much cool stuff, and also feeling very strongly supported by a whole new community.

So people who don’t feel the need to moderate their own speech are coming in and they think they do moderate their speech, but it’s not nice speech, not nice like ours, but they don’t think “nice” is nice, they see it as a bad thing that is necessarily and inevitably the “fake mask” hiding all sorts of wrong thought. I won’t give you the list. It’s ugly.

Thanks! I’ve been thinking that whatever the outcome of the writing group, this whole site is going to be something for me to explore and see if there’s a role for me.
How this particular community is administrated and managed and moderated is the place to learn from the highest mentoring sources, both as we go, and also exploring the wealth of accumulated knowledge and examples gleaned from earlier posts.
There is no substitute for putting ourselves “out here” – experiencing, participating, watching, and joining in activities, and contributing of course!
