This is a very simple theme component that will allow you to adjust a few aspects of the category list layout on mobile.
Preview on your phone with the hide_featured_topics setting enabled at Discourse Theme Creator
If anyone has additional ideas for common layout changes to the mobile category list, suggestions are welcome.
