This theme component adds a “reader mode” button to the topic timeline. “Reader mode” places the emphasis on the written word and lets the other UI elements fade into the background for a more focused reading experience. Users also have the option to choose from various fonts, adjust text size and reading width, and change to their preferred background colour
Is it possible to match the fonts in reader mode to the font-list of the platform? For example, we’re using Open Sans, but that’s not an option on the font dropdown for Reader Mode. Would be a nice touch to have the same list of fonts to choose from.
Edit: I’m also noticing that topics which use Discourse TOC, but do not have a reply are not showing the Reader Mode Icon.
You can see an example here:
However as soon as there is at least one reply, the Timeline, ToC and Reader Mode seem to appear as expected.
Also hide file name, image resolution, image size appearing as overlay in images while reader mode is activated.
This Reader Mode fulfills this request
Also there is 0.5 inch gap between each back to back images…
on Google Docs, Since the background is sticky and the page background can be set to black, the gaps between back to back images wont be seen but here on this community, even with reader mode activated, the gaps are visible and the image feels cut off…
i zoomed out to bring 3 images all at once and thats the reason why it looks like this and moreover i think you havent tested Reader mode on Smart TVs as bottom Scroll bar doesnt appear while width is increased and the Experience gets buddy while width is increased a lot on Smart TVs.
As for the background color in Reader Mode, while dark grey alike color is nice, We need Amoled Black color, Real Black color as an additional option.
