On any post here in Meta, when clicking on the reactions/likes count, it shows the popup of the users who voted, before closing very quickly.
This seems to be different from last tume, where the popup will remain open until the user clicks out of it.
Weāve also encountered this issue on our forum.
It could be related to the recent update of Discourse.
It seems to be working as normal for me. Can you share a screen recording?
Also, what OS/browser youāre using? If youāre using a Windows computer: does it have a touch screen?
I just came here to report this bug too, seems @NateDhaliwal beat me to it
There are two scenarios.
On mobile, click on reactions and the summary table is only visible for 1 second before closing.
On desktop, it stays open - but only if your cursor stays hovering over it. If you click on the reactions and move your mouse away it also closes in 1 second, like it does on mobile.
This is only occurring after I updated my Discourse this morning and like @NateDhaliwal I can also replicate here on meta.
Iām currently running 3.5.0.beta1-dev (cbe9a9f33b).
Have you been able to repro, @David ?
Yup - thanks for the details! We had reports recently about issues on Chrome 133 on windows devices with touchscreens. So we made this tweak.
It helped those devices, but it looks like itās had other side-effects which werenāt intended. Weāll look into it!
Just a quick note, the desktop behaviour is the same on mobile. Pressing and holding on the reactions leaves the popup it open.
Thanks @david
Thanks for the report!
I think that should fix it:
Should be deployed on meta in about one hour. Thanks!
Fix works great on mobile, thanks @joffreyjaffeux
