"Solved" bug or intentional?

This is not an issue per se, but I noticed it and if it wasn’t intentional, I’m here to report it.

As the admin, if I go to a topic I didn’t create, the Solved / Solution button is just the icon:

But if I created it, I can see the full button:

Again, this is not a big issue, but thought I should let you know about it.

I might be wrong but something tells me this is probably intentional. If you create a topic seeing the whole ‘:white_check_mark: solved’ makes it more obvious to the user you can choose a solution to a post.

The reason I posted was because of where you only see the icon. And this only happens when I’m seeing someone else’s post, as an admin.

So yes, what should be seen everywhere is the icon and Solved together.

this is intentional

Thank you.
Is there a specific reason for that? Why not include the whole thing?

Seems like my suspicions were correct

I believe you are still misunderstanding the point of my topic.
I’m not questioning the use of:

I understand that having a bigger, more obvious button is good to encourage users to mark as a solution. My question is: why isn’t it the same for both cases to create consistency? I don’t see the reason behind using a full version in one case and just an icon in the other. I think it should always be the full version.

To disencourage others to mark solutions, unless OP has passed it. Always OP’s opinion is the most important one. Actually that one should be hidden.

Makes sense.
As the OP sometimes I don’t like how someone else marks a certain reply as the solution, when I don’t think it is. So I get that you mean.
Thanks for the feedback.
