(Some) users don't see chat in the sidebar

My users reported that some of them don’t see sidebar the way I have configured it.

This is my own and expected configuration:

How to force every user to have the same configuration?

The chats are added to the sidebar when the user joins the channels.
If you want to add them to their sidebar by default, you could add them automatically to the channels.

They are added to these channels, they even posted in them (I also have the chat button in the header, thats how they are accessing it at the moment.

Is there anything different in their preferences → chat settings compared to other users?

I have now set it on the site level - will it work backward for everyone?

I don’t think so. Some settings ask you whether you want to also change it for existing users but this one does not.
But you can
