Spam emails sent out before message could be flagged

I get spam emails from various Discourse forums on a very regular basis.

  • A spam post is made in a category I’m watching
  • This is not caught by Akismet
  • The post is made at a “quiet” moment so it takes a while before it is flagged by the community
  • A notification email goes out to god-knows-how-many users
  • The post is flagged

Recent example.

Would it be an idea to (optionally) delay email notifications for TL0 / TL1 users until it for instance gets a few likes or a certain amount of views?
