The Sign up button is not activated. I’ve allowed external signups in my preferences, but it’s not working. I am currently applying discourse SSO to wordpress, could this be the reason why the sign up button is not activated?

Yes this is the reason. But you can add a Sign Up button with installing this theme component. I hope this still works
