Tradurre o non tradurre: js.emoji_picker.[key]

Volevo aprire una discussione sul tema delle nuove parole apparse, affinché vengano (o non vengano) tradotte in diverse lingue.

Sembra essere la descrizione di ogni emoji
A mio avviso, non dovrebbe essere tradotta, ma voglio lasciare il dibattito aperto, affinché mi diciate cosa ne pensate, per sapere se tradurre o meno queste parole.

Esempio:

js.emoji_picker.people People
js.emoji_picker.people Personas

I hate to reopen this, but I see they still aren’t translated and there wasn’t much consensus.

In this case, honestly, I don’t see why the categories shouldn’t be translated. If they were emoji codes like :dog:, I could understand some debate, but as for the categories… They don’t affect anything except the emoji picker. It’s not the description of each emoji as @SidV mentions.

In my opinion, it looks completely out of place. Honestly, I would translate it.

If only three people have discussed the topic since July 2017, it doesn’t make much sense to talk about a consensus.

I understand that it is indeed the description of the emoji.
Imagine if instead of typing :dog:, I had to type :dog: to make appear.

As far as I know, emojis cannot be translated as of today. What I’m suggesting would be beneficial to translate are the category descriptions:

• People People
• Nature Nature
• Food Food
• Celebration Celebrations
• Activity Activities
• Travel Travel
• Objects Objects
• Custom emojis Custom emojis
