What action (user or back-end) controls the mini edit pane

When text within a saved post is highlighted, the option to Quote or Edit appears. However, when Edit is selected one of two things happens:

1. The default editor pane opens along the bottom of the window, or
2. The mini editor pane pops up (see below)

What rhyme or reason dictates which appears? Would be nice to know how to force one or the other depending on the scope of the edit needed (to save clicks, time, etc.)

If the code is not able to define with certainty which part of the post should be edited, it will fallback to open the composer.

Very cool.

So, it basically runs through its own proof with recommendations, and if no roofs are obvious it goes to the default. So it’s helpful for spelling and grammar updates, but not for going through documentation and replacing one word for new jargon. Got it!
