Can a silenced member PM staff?

I was under the impression that a silenced member was able to PM staff while still being silenced.

This doesn’t seem to be happening when I silence. Is there a setting that I need to change?

Do they have the trust levels to actually do so? I’ve had silenced members send us personal messages with no trouble.

Heather, you’re right. Someone who is TL0 doesn’t have the ability to message at all. That’s the difference. Up the TL, ability to message the mods/admins is still there when they are silenced.
