Question:
- If I ignore someone using the ignore feature do they still have access to my posts?
I make several posts on a site that uses discourse.org. I sometimes have to ignore people who are belligerent in the comments. My hopes is that they will not have access to my posts once I have ignored them.
Thank you,
Larry
Yes, when you ignore a user they can still see your posts. Ignoring is a way to stop engaging with a specific person without drawing their attention to it. There’s no plan to build a feature that allows users to completely block each other.
If someone’s being belligerent we generally recommend flagging their posts or otherwise bringing it to the attention of a site’s staff so they can handle it with warnings, suspensions, or a ban.

OK thank you - I do bring it to the attention of the Admin. Atm he is suspending for X amount of periods but I provide quality content for the site that I would really like to keep held back from those people who are belligerent in the comments.
