Why are topic counts sometimes different?

Why some topics become private, but we can see it in homepage, and [topic Created] of user are not counted?

“Private” topics are personal messages so we don’t display the count publicly by design.

But he just publish a topic, why does it belong to Private?
we can choose it?

Yes, everyone can see it.
But I checked it again, Created topic is 1, Private topic is 2, and I gave him admin role just now. I don’t know if it will have an impact.

Those two personal messages are probably the default welcome message and the message that they were granted admin.

The user stats you shared in your first post aren’t updated immediately. Maybe the public topic that was posted wasn’t included at that time.
