Esperanto (eo) – Crowdin username: satonotdead
I’d like to request proofreader permissions for Esperanto. It’s currently at ~1% and stale, with no active reviewers. If possible, please include the plugins and theme components projects as well.
To be transparent about my plan:
- AI first pass. I’ll draft translations with AI, keeping placeholders, plurals and HTML intact, and using a consistent glossary based on established Esperanto terminology.
- Human review before approval. I won’t approve anything that hasn’t been reviewed by a fluent Esperanto speaker. Meanwhile, I’ll keep learning the language myself.
- Recruiting reviewers. Beyond Discourse, I’ll reach out to Esperanto speakers in the Monero and wider crypto communities, where there’s real interest in Esperanto. I’ll invite them to join Crowdin and help review.
- Coordination. I’ll open a topic in Contribute > Translations for Esperanto so translators can agree on terminology here.
The goal is to reach the ~70% coverage needed for Esperanto to ship in core and become available for Content Localization.
