Site text editing trust levels

AI-generated summary

In a discussion about editing site text for trust levels, Encounter wanted to change the display text for trust levels (e.g., “New User” to “Just Starting”) on user profiles — not just group names. NateDhaliwal suggested editing group default names like groups.default_names.trust_level_0, but JammyDodger clarified that profile trust level labels are controlled by trust_levels.names site texts, not group names. JammyDodger included screenshots showing where to find and edit these texts in the Site Texts interface. Encounter confirmed that using trust_levels.names worked for their goal and noted that NateDhaliwal’s solution would only affect group names, not the profile display. The key takeaway is that to change the visible trust level labels on user profiles, one must edit the trust_levels.names site texts, not group names.

Hello when I go into site text Im looking for a specific text on the trust levels. I want to edit it so that when you go on your profile on the part that shows trust level New user or leader etc I want to change that text so I.E change New User to Just Starting not the badge name only but also that text itself

I think those would be groups.default_names.trust_level_0 and so on (change 0 to 1/2/3/4)

Do you mean these?

If so, they’re not connected to renaming the trust level groups. The site texts for those all begin with trust_levels.names, if you add that to your customise site text search box it should bring them all up:

Thanks @JammyDodger after going to

and changing it it worked
@NateDhaliwal Your solution would work but I’m not looking to change the group only I also wanted to change the Profile section
