Attempting to enforce 1 tag per topic in a category

Users are still not being forced to use at least one tag from the defined tag group when posting new topics within a specific category. These tags should still be available for use in other categories. Here is category setup we are attempting to enforce:

I’m facing the same issue.
Same behavior under different users.

Is there a way to solve the problem or a fix available?

I ran a couple of tests and still cannot manage to enforce tagging by Category.
This functionality will help us a lot in a particular use case we are heading towards.

My current settings are:

  1. Category Menu > Settings

Please, let me know if I’m missing something or some setting.

It would also be very helpful to have a more granular setting for Number of Tags per Tag Group.

Not sure If I should edit my previous replies to this topic and add this new piece of information…
But here it is.

I don’t know what happened… I started all over again.
I created a new set of tags, several tag groups, and rules.
And now it works as expected with the nice red warning…

1 minimal tag from group for a topic not enforced here either despite countless tinkering, recreating group etc… :frowning:
OK my bad, I was testing from an admin account :slight_smile:

Note that the “minimum tag validation” on a category will not happen if: tagging is disabled globally acting user is staff acting user does not have sufficient trust level to use/add tags
