Hey fellas. I’m currently working on my board and have been fighting for longer than I’d care to admit trying to get the RSS Polling plugin to function. I have tried so many different RSS feeds at this point, with different users (all of which I know had permission to post to the forum, I even tried my own account).
Not only that, but I’ve tried with filters, without filters, and on very well-known, popular RSS feeds (URLs with .xml extensions ending them and some without), and even after letting several RSS feeds configured sit overnight, I’m getting nothing.
I’ve even tried hosting the feed .xml file locally, thinking maybe it was a connection issue or something, but I had no luck there, either.
To make matters worse, I can’t figure out any good way to debug this thing; nothing shows up in my logs and as far as I can tell, there are none elsewhere, either.
This is how I had it configured overnight when I left it. I had them set to different categories to make sure that wasn’t the issue, either. Does anybody have any insight into where I’m going wrong, or what I can do to try to narrow down the issue?
Also for clarification; I am self-hosting on a Debian VPS and I am hosting with a fairly large well-known company based in the U.S.
