Hiding Subcategories in "boxes with subcategory" theme

Hello discourse world!

Anyone had any success with hiding sub categories on the homepage within any of the discourse standard “box” layouts? We want to have a simple, clean homepage. Plus we want to tone down a bit of the noise given our structure/architecture.

The wonderful folks at discourse are looking into this as well, but figured I’d tap into the collective community to see if anyone has done this or has suggestions on what to try.

Have you checked out Air Theme?
You have a home page where you can group categories you want on your home page

It’s home page uses this Theme component for Home Page(if you use Air Theme it comes with this TC)
