I previously brought this up here (in ux, not feature): "Go to quote" and "Was a reply to" filter interactions
Right now when you’re on filter by user mode, you’re stuck in filter mode when you click on any link that stays in the topic. This includes notifications, links in posts, going to quotes, and seeing replies/replied to posts. This leads to a lot of confusing/annoying moments where you click something and don’t end up at the post you expected to be at.
I think it would make sense to have the filter removed on any click that navigates within the topic.
