Starting a line with a tag creates a headline instead of a tag

Continuing the discussion from Add a link to a mentioned tag when posting via mail:

Hello, I just tested the tagging feature per mail. Hence, I wrote something like #tagname::tag in my mail. My mail client creates hard breaks after 80 signs to not have too long lines. By chance, it happened that a line was starting with tag tag, which made it a headline instead of a tag. The same problem arises when starting a new line with a tag in the online post composer:
#see-this::tag

That’s just the way markdown works.

Yep, not a bug. Easy fix, put a space in front of it, just like you’d do if you want to prevent oneboxing. Also note that it will not offer auto-complete if you start at the front of a line.

No space:

#pr-welcome::tag

#pr-welcome

With space:

 #pr-welcome::tag

#pr-welcome
