Discourse Tag Sidebars is pretty useful, and very flexible. However, it requires a lot of management — an new topic for every tag, plus manually listing each of those in the component settings.
What about “Simple Tag Sidebar”, which would just show: the tag name (large) followed by the description?
As an Extra Bonus Enhancement, tags could also get “tag images” which would be displayed there. And extra double bonus, a “long description” that could follow and include markdown.
