Hello,
I noticed that on the same category page, the category description is displayed the first time you enter. However, after clicking on a tag, the description disappears. It reappears upon refreshing the page, or it may occasionally disappear or reappear when I click on another tag.
I searched and found similar reports:

Here’s a category banner. This is a category that anyone (anon visitors included) can see. I get this banner if I pick the category from the category dropdown in the site navigation, and if I click on a category label/box below a topic title. Which is exactly what you would expect to happen:

When a category has an image, the category description is written next to it on the category page.
When we load the category from the category page, the text appears normally. But if we refresh the page or navigate to it from somewhere else, the text won’t be displayed:
Repro steps:
Have an image set in a category settings, as well as a custom category description.
From the categories page, click the category.
The text appears.
Reload the page: the text disappears.
