Just wanted to flag that there is an issue with this plugin currently. I am unable to change Message Notification Frequency setting in my User Preferences. If I click on anything but “Daily” the drop down closes and remains on Daily
I think this is a bug. I can reproduce the issue on Meta and on my local development site. If I select a frequency from the dropdown menu that is different than my current assigned topic reminder frequency, the chosen frequency is not displayed as the dropdown’s selection. Clicking the Save button does save the new frequency, but the page needs a hard refresh in order for the new frequency to be displayed.
Tested on the latest version of Chrome on Ubuntu.

I got to fix multiple deprecations warning, simplify code and remove some anti patterns. That should fix it once merged.
