Using ChatGPT to Generate Structured Discourse Posts Automatically

Hi everyone,

I’ve been exploring ways to integrate AI tools like ChatGPT into our community moderation workflow on Discourse.
Specifically, I’m testing how ChatGPT (including multilingual models like chatgpt français) can:

  • Pre-format topics or replies for users who struggle with markdown
  • Auto-summarize long threads for moderators
  • Help generate structured templates for new topics

This isn’t a bot yet, but more like a backend assistant.
Has anyone here tried something similar or integrated LLMs into their Discourse communities?

Would love to hear thoughts, ideas or concerns around this direction.
