Of note, TLPs is also interfering with the same functionality in Events Plugin š
Hi, I love your plugin! I have a question. Is it possible to use two different layouts? We use 'Pinterest (Masonry) Style aka ātilesā for most categories and we would like to use Featured Images style on a specific category. I canāt find the settings for the specific category. Thanks in advance for your help.
Thanks for your interest.
Featured Images is not selectable by Category. Itās either activated for each Category, or not.
Hi Robert, thanks for your reply. I thought that Featured Images was a category layout, but I see that this is visible on top of each category. It it possible to show features images for all posts and replies (without tag filter). Similar to Facebook groups ā Media?
You would need to mock up what you mean, I suspect. Iām not sure I understand your question.
In any case, if you need specialist help, you can hire me or post an ad in marketplace
This is a screenshot from Facebook group. It shows all latest images from posts and replies automatically
Featured Images will only list the thumbnail from each of the in scope Topics.
It will only display one Image per Topic.
You can use the Topic meta control to select which image (so long as you have the sidecar plugin installed).
Iām afraid I cannot provide any more free support.
I installed this component but itās not displaying images. Any advice?
EDIT: I just saw your comment to another user about giving it time to allow it to load the images. I will wait 48 hours and then update.
EDIT2: Yep, itās the theme to blame. Works just fine with default theme.
Hire a developer to fix the clash you have with the theme you already have installed
(or just uninstall the base theme and build a new one)
I tried to show tiles on mobile and ānormalā (thumbnail on right + excerpts) on bigger screens. What I tried to get was showing a thumbnail above of an excerpt on mobiles, and that was the only solution I came to.
After browsing this topic I found this, so I can now save my time, because I donāt need to explain what I did.
But it didnāt go too well. I got this:
And when thumbnails and excerpts are disabled that the layout issue is more clear:
iPhone 15+, the newest iOS, DiscourseHub and Safari
ā
So, is it a bug, Apple or am I trying something impossible?
Thatās what happens when the JavaScript is breaking for some reason.
Need to find the error message from the console. Try Safari with ?mobile_view=1
on mac
I donāt buy a Mac for that But I have the console on iPad. Or something that calls itself that way.
All I found was plenty of load errors, but it refused to tell me more. So, I try with my win-laptop ā when I found its mouse, touchpad isnāt healthyā¦
Another solution is to check for clashes.
Create a new Theme and add TLP to it. Set it up as you want. Check it.
Add other Components one by one and work out whatās causing the any clash.
God Iām stupid Iāve always played with live themes. It never came in my little mind to create a virgin theme.
Anyway ā it conflicts with Discourse Clickable Topic
Do you guys fight with each other over whose component to blame
I donāt need that, though. I mean the component, a good fight is always enjoyable to watch.

Back to business. The tiles on mobile doesnāt show excerpts. Is that by design?
Topic List Previews used to have a click action which covered the entire tile that would take you to the Topic.
However it was removed a long time due to a bug in Ember that didnāt like two click events happening at the same time (e.g. when you click the title which would fire both click events).
I will look at implementing this again when/if the Topic Lists are converted to Glimmer.
It definitely should and does. Something is not right - double check your settings.
Wrong alarm. This isnāt my day at all.
I tried it using /unseen because it doesnāt bother users and I have there few topics that are linked to WordPress. And I didnāt get any excerpts. Of course not, those have only an onebox.
Well, /latest has excerpts as should.
So, everything is fine then. Thanks!
