If I leave the require_groups empty, it doesn’t show up. But when I put trust_level_0 in there it does work. Am I doing this right or wrong? Why would the require_groups be filled in, why not just always show it?
Thanks for bringing this to my attention. Sorry, there was a minor bug in the code. I’ve resolved it, making the require_groups setting optional. If you update the theme this issue should no longer exist.
Is this slated for an update to meet the new header specs?
I tried a naive fix on my own (still using the old script, pre theme-component days) and failed egregiously on a first pass. 
I figured I’d pop in here to see what’s going on before taking another swing at it.
Came here to share the same; I even opened a GH Issue.
I will see if I can make a PR today for that.

Hi - this Widget looks really interesting and amazing. I was thinking about using this to better integrate the two communities. Does anyone have any feedback on how this is operating in production and any trends from their community?
We’ve had this widget in our Discourse forum for some time now, and it’s been great @Ari_Waller.
Unfortunately, we ran into a bug, so I filed paviliondev/discourse-discord-widget#4. Would love some attention on that!
